Morning Rising
Step 11 β Beginning the Day
Before stepping into the day, take a moment to become
quiet and seek direction rather than trying to control
everything ahead.
Ask yourself:
-
What does today hold?
-
Where might I need patience, courage,
kindness, or understanding?
-
What am I trying to control that I can turn over?
-
How can I be helpful today?
-
What spiritual principle do I want to carry with me?
Today I will...
π₯ Pause in the Fire
Step 10 β Throughout the Day
When something feels off, pause before reacting.
A quick inventory can help us recognize what is
happening within us and choose how we want to
move forward.
Ask yourself:
-
Am I resentful?
-
Am I being selfish?
-
Am I being dishonest?
-
Am I afraid?
-
Do I owe someone an apology?
-
Am I trying to control something
that is not mine to control?
-
What would patience, tolerance,
kindness, or usefulness look like here?
Pause. Admit it. Make it right.
Ask for direction. Keep going.
π Evening Reflection
Step 10 β Looking Back on the Day
At the end of the day, gently look at where
you struggled, where you grew, and what may
need your attention tomorrow.
-
Was I resentful, selfish, dishonest, or afraid?
-
Do I owe an apology?
-
Did I keep something to myself
that should be discussed?
-
Was I kind and loving toward others?
-
What could I have done differently?
-
Where did I handle something better
than I once would have?
-
Where did I see growth today?
-
What can I release before tomorrow?
β¨ Gratitude Before Rest
Before ending the day, pause and recognize
the good that was present too.
β¨ Something I am grateful for...
π₯ Something I learned today...
πͺ½ Something I am willing to leave in today...
πͺ½ Rise Again
Progress, not perfection.
We don't inventory ourselves to stay in the ashes.
We inventory ourselves so we can learn, grow, and rise.
Whatever happened today, tomorrow gives us another
opportunity to practice these principles and rise again.
